Today we're pleased to show you the new cover for the upcoming repack of Album 8, it features the same art work as the original gold release but with rays like the current releases. It's expected to appear in stores early next year. We've also learned that the repack for Album 37 will be available in stores later this year, so keep checking back in the coming weeks to see what it will look like.

In our last poll we asked you what episode you were most looking forward to in Album 54, it was a close race between Unbecoming Jay and How to Sink a Sub, but in the end How to Sink a Sub came out with a 3% lead. We have a new free episode to enjoy over the holidays, this time FOTF is releasing Grandma's Christmas Visit as a free download, and unlike some of the past free episodes this one isn't limited to people in the States. You can see a list of all currently available episodes here, you can also use our Audio Player to listen to all of the currently airing episodes along with the free episodes and all of the Official podcasts.
On the topic of our Audio Player we've been hard at work behind the scenes trying to make it faster. In our latest version of our player the episodes for listening load in about a fifth of the time of when we first released it, letting you listen to Adventures in Odyssey faster than ever before. We've also fixed a bug with the playlist feature that would add the wrong episode under certain circumstances. Stay tuned for more updates on our player in the near future.

In the last few weeks there have been a couple of new interviews released. First up is Audio Theatre Central's interview with Paul McCusker. In it they discuss album 53, 54 55 and even 56, be sure to tune in for a glimpse at what's coming up in the albums ahead. Earlier this week we brought you news of the upcoming Album 54 and the Blackgaard Chronicles and today we're bringing you news on three upcoming AIO books.
First is the summary for Showdown with the Shepherd:

Also, yesterday, Audio Theater Central released a new podcast. In it they revealed that due to a last minute change at FOTF, Album 54 will now contain 3 episodes that follow up directly from where 53 left off. On the topic of albums 54 and 55, we've made a new page here called future which contains everything we know about what's coming up for the radio show.

The latest edition of The Whit's End Podcast has revealed a few more details about Album 54. The three episodes that tie into the Album 53 story line will revolve around Connie, Penny, and Wooton. The last edition of the official guide came out in August 2008 for the 20th anniversary, next year is the 25th anniversary and they're planning to release an updated version, you can help them decide what to put in it by telling them here.
Next up is the new Imagination Station site, it's been updated with family activities, devotionals, and a parents page for books 1 and 2, books 3 and 4 meanwhile have been posted and have the secret word bonus content up.

There's been some images and rumours floating around different sites lately that we'd like to try and clear up.
- First of all some people have been saying that the new logo will be appearing on all future repacks. This is not correct, the new logo will only be used for albums 51 and newer while the old logo will be used on all the repacks of Albums 1-50.
- Secondly some people think that the final covers for the upcoming set of repacks have been released. This is also not true, currently the following cover art images have been released but they are still needing the title, logo and rays.
Also, we've confirmed that Album 2 will be getting a new title, Brock Eastman has welcomed fans to venture a guess at the new title on his facebook page.

Yet another repack has been completed! The Odyssey team has released images of the new cover design for Album 29: Signed, Sealed and Committed today. The front and back covers can be viewed by clicking the images to the right. This leaves only 17 albums left to re-cover.
It is interesting to note that Gary Locke, the artist who illustrates the album covers, will soon have his art on all of Odyssey's albums. Once Album 24, 26, and 34 have their new covers, it will be official.

In other news Focus on the Family has launched their new writing scholarship contest. The contest is open to students currently enrolled in a US college, and they want you to try your hand at writing a script for an episode of AIO. The winning script will be produced next summer and will be included in the 2013 season and Album 58. The writer of the script will also get $1000 towards their college education. The deadline is January 15th, 2012, for full contest rules see the offical page

The cover for the next book in the The Imagination Station book series has been released. It's a slight departure from the first 6 books with the blue rays being replaced with green ones, but it's still easily recognizable as being from the same series. Secret of the Prince's Tomb is expected to be available in stores in January 2012.

For those of you who are fans of Twitter, you'll be happy to know that the AIO team now has an official Twitter account. The account is run by FOTF Audio Drama Coordinator Evan Reedall and promises "insider peeks at current projects and ideas, and behind the scenes secrets!" to it's followers. We have a number of smaller updates for you today, here they are in no particular order:
- Album 54 has been spotted in stores by fans be sure to check your local book store if you're looking to pick up a copy. Online orders should be shipping soon.
- Similarly The Blackgaard Chronicles is also now available.
- The October airing schedule is now posted.
- We've learned that there will be a sequel to the Platinum Collection that was released for the 20th Anniversary, it's expected to come out sometime in 2012. We don't know which episodes or even how many will be included but we'll be sure to fill you in on all the details as they become available.

5 years ago today the AIO team released the very first Official Podcast, it's come a long way adding a co-host, giving away free episodes, pop-upisodes, video podcasts and more. Be sure to check back tomorrow for a special video podcast.

It seems the mystery contests is a little harder than expected, so far most of you have found the 10 words below but no one has been able to figure out the meaning behind them.

To win you need to take those 10 words do something to them and you'll come up with an important object from 53. To help we've managed to find a hint "gnidih", but what does it mean?
If you haven't listened to the first episode from 53 yet you can do so here for free, it may provide some clues to what's going on.

In other news the mysterious cover from Monday has been revealed to be a first round sketch for a new Kidsboro Omni book. We'll keep you updated the news on this book as it becomes available.
