Links to Buy
On episodes, we have the link to buy them on iTunes or Audible; what about linking the Books to Amazon, ? Rachel Maxwell 03:53, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- Good idea, but I don't know if that can be done. Reddo or someone else will have to figure it out. I really like that idea though. Stop Wooton' Around (talk) 04:47, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- May be CBD instead? Even though you can buy stuff straight from the source on Amazon, people also have the opportunity to buy it used for a cheaper price, which doesn't benefit AIO staff. Erwin Springer [talk] 21:15, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- You're right; sorry, couldn't think of anywhere besides Amazon. But CBD sounds good, if this is something y'all think is a good idea. Rachel Maxwell 21:23, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- I actually started on something like this a while back by using the isbn numbers but got busy and forgot about it till now. Anyway if you go to a book page like Arin's Judgment, click on the isbn number you'll be taken to a page like this from there you can click any of those links and be brought to a page on an external site where you should be able to purchase the book Reddo 22:46, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

Album art
I'm going through the albums and adding art according to Reddo's list. First off there is a lot of duplicates. For instance on Album 16 there is file:16back.gif and file:16back.jpg both of which as you can see are the same thing except the .jpg images seem to have a better quality. Since Reddo has the .jpg I have requested that the .gif images be deleted. On most deletions I request I try to leave a message so if you want to known why I put that item on the to be deleted list just click the edit tab. If I have not left a message please ask me. One last thing on Reddo's list there are images that are red because we do not have the .jpg of that image but the .gif of the image. So should I change it on the list or move it. If I move then I will put the .gif up for deletion and change it on the album page. If I have not made myself clear please ask! Thanks! Stop Wooton' Around (talk) 06:59, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- Well I'm going to work on adding the images to the album pages. Stop Wooton' Around (talk) 22:14, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- I've got Album 00 through Album 17 in adding images. BTW: The Category:Flagged for Deletion needs to be cleaned out. There are 8 categories, 8 pages, and 44 files that need deleted. Thanks! Stop Wooton' Around (talk) 05:29, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
Edge-u-Link
I need help with finding all the episodes that have the edu-link in them. I can only think of The Impossible, The Undeniable Truth, A New Era, Part 1, and A New Era, Part 3. Is there more? I think Eugene and Aman talk in other episodes but I'm not sure. Thank's for any help! P.S. After tonight I will not be on for two weeks because of camp.Stop Wooton' Around (talk) 02:54, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

Userbox: Owning all albums
I was looking through the userboxes and this one:
I think should be changed to 51 albums. How can I edit it? AriaCurzonFan 08:15, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
- Just edit Template:Userbox/Complete Collection. Although, you did put the {{Userbox}} template in your code, therefore you would just change info there. God Bless ~ Nate ~ Talk 16:26, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
Award Template
I have started creating templates for the Avery Awards that you will indicate the awards that an actor or episode has won. Right now, they are sub-pages of my userpage. If everyone likes them, then we can move them to actual template pages. I also think that it would be a good idea to create categories for the winners to be added to. What do you all think? — Eugene [talk] 20:03, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
- Great idea. I'd say go for it. Erwin Springer [talk] 22:00, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
- Done I've created the two award templates as well as one more for the writer who wrote the episode that won best script. They are named
{{Actor Award}}
,{{Episode Award}}
and{{Writer Award}}
. Some basic categories have also been set up under Category:Avery Awards. As more award ceremonies are held, this system will probably get more and more intricate and complete. But this is a great starting point! Let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions. :D — Eugene [talk] 15:56, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

Album 52 Cover
Okay. So a couple people tried uploading a couple different versions of art to File:52front.jpg but the edits were reverted because the art is not actually the cover. So I created this file. Hopefully this will pass standards until the official art is realeased. MarvelousMarvin 14:46, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- No, we don't want a fan complied cover. The cover has simply not yet been released. God Bless ~ Nate ~ Talk 18:20, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- I think it is fine. True, the cover has not been released, but I am really tired of seeing this. Plus, it is obvious that MarvelousMarvin worked hard on it, so why not let it pass until it is officially released. We could add a notice in the image caption and on the image page saying that this cover is not the official one. I think it is fine, but if all you admins think that it should not be, then I am fine with that. AIOCREFan 18:57, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- I've been told to wait. The AIO team is working hard on the album and your patience is greatly appreciated. God Bless ~ Nate ~ Talk 22:54, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

- Brock told us not to put it up. God Bless ~ Nate ~ Talk 00:23, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
- Wow. I didn't think that a fan trying to make an accurate representation of the Album 52 cover would be such a off limits issue. But if that's the way it is, okay. If nothing else it was a good experience in photoshop for me. :) Just for my clarification, though--Nate, you said that thge AIO team is working hard on the album and our patience is greatly appreciated. Why do they feel that we're being impatient by creating our own album cover? Is it that they want to build up the fans anticipation and have the exclusive release? Because I don't want to wreck their plans. We're just taking what they gave us (the art) to the next level (the cover). I'm fine with not posting it and completely undestand and respect their desision--in fact it might be a good idea to delete the image altogether. I just am interested to understand what their position is. Like I said, if nothing else, it was a good experience. MarvelousMarvin 03:35, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

No don't feel that you're being impatient. Maybe a better place to share your creation would be the ToO. You didn't do bad at all though! It actually looks really good for a beginner. I will delete the image if we want. God Bless ~ Nate ~ Talk 04:06, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
- As for being impatient, I only thought I was because you just said that AIO would greatly appreciate our patience. I was wondering (and still am) why it was a problem with Focus that the image be posted here. As I have said before, I have no ToO account; nor do I plan on getting one (for the time being)--which makes it a little dificult to share stuff there. You can put it there if you want. The main reason that I created the image was so that it would hopefully look official enough to qualified as a cover on the album 52 page until the official cover is released. The other images that you reverted weren't covers--I thought that was the problem. Thanks for the compliment and for uploading the new version with the better logo! I was going to do that and I tried to; but I clicked the wrong file to upload and didn't have time to do it again before I had to leave for somewhere. I have had some previous experience with photoshop, but it was very minor and I didn't do much. It did take a while though--I had to start over about 4 times due to not understanding the tools, or misconfiguring the placement of the layers, or messing up. I don't care if you delete the image or not. I was mainly suggesting that due to Focus's desire for the image not to be posted. At any rate, it's not really much good for anything anymore, being as it can't be used. But I suppose you can leave it up for people to see if they want. MarvelousMarvin 09:35, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
- Jacob posted a fan cover over at the Odyssey Scoop with a disclaimer--why can't we do the same here? Ours is more accurate, based upon ealier sketches, by the way. Plus, all of our album bars around the album art are the same color, making it look more professional. Why is Jacob allowed to do something we aren't? MarvelousMarvin 18:20, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- Just to let you know MarvelousMarvin, that cover that Jacob posted on the Odyssey Scoop is yours. All he did was put it in 3D form. And I totally agree with MarvelousMarvin. AIOCREFan 19:23, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- Really? How do you know that? I know that it's not because there are several notable differences. The first one is that mine does not contain the "12 stories of serving God & more" description at the bottom. The second is that the color of the bottom bar is different on his than it is on mine. The last is that the Whit's ear is too far away from the edge for it to be mine. Compare those differences and you can tell that it is not mine. MarvelousMarvin 23:02, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- You still haven't answered my question--Howcome Jacob is allowed to post a fan cover for album 52, but we aren't? Why didn't Brock tell Jacob to wait? MarvelousMarvin 15:05, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
I don't know God Bless ~ Nate ~ Talk 20:13, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
- I see. That's not the answer I was expecting, but it works. I would not be surprised if the cover is still not out on Monday. Focus is always way later than they say they'll be on releasing stuff like that. MarvelousMarvin 22:21, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
- Then why did you say on last Friday that we should get it some time that day? MarvelousMarvin 20:24, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm. They seem to do that a lot. I recall a similar event happening several weeks ago with Reddo. I wonder why they keep changing the release date. MarvelousMarvin 14:27, 30 June 2010 (UTC)

I saw this (http://www.christianbook.com/Christian/Books/oversize?sku=976380) on CBD. what do you think? AriaCurzonFan 14:40, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- I think that AIO team threw that together in about five minutes. They just put that up there as filler art, which is no better than this. The guys here made an erlier desicion not to display that image. MarvelousMarvin 18:27, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- Ya, that's just a portion of the Album 51 poster with Odyssey in the background; definitely not official. Ricrocflow 19:11, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

- A year or so ago somebody made a page for "Mouse". The text was something like "a furry rodent which was in the episode Nothing to Fear". It wasn't inappropriate, but it was nonsense. (Very funny nonsense, but nonsense.) Reddo banned 'em -- not for long, but I don't remember their ever coming back. However, this user (that we are discussing now I mean) also made some constructive edits. In any case, they haven't been back in a month so it sort of seems like a mute point, unless we just want to hammer out the policy better. Rachel Maxwell 04:33, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

Last Chance Detectives
I was about to make pages for "Mystery of the Lost Voices" and "Last Flight of the Dragon Lady" for the Last Chance Detectives, and am wondering about how we want to do them? The Ambrosia episodes are on the wiki, but are very different from our typical AIO episode pages. The Day Ambrosia Stood Still, Part 1 for instance: the character names aren't linked to anything, the only actors linked are ones who have had other AIO parts, and there is no summary, which I intend to fix. I'd appreciate y'all's input on this. Keep it like it is, or make character links? I know the main characters are listed on the LCD page, and it's not technically AIO, but the serieses (?) did overlap, with Jason being a character and all. If this discussion has been held previously and I missed it (or have forgotten it, which is more likely) please forgive my faulty memory. Rachel Maxwell 04:29, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
- I think we came to point where we said that we would only put DGL stuff that overlaps with AIO on the wiki. (Meaning that character pages wouldn't be created unless they are AIO characters as well.) Personally, I'm not in favor of expanding to include those characters, as they aren't within in our content field. Erwin Springer [talk] 03:05, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- Er...since nobody responded I went ahead and did all the episode pages, though I didn't expand the character pages. Should I go back and delete them? Rachel Maxwell 04:47, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- I don't think you should delete them just don't expand the character pages but Irwin will have to give you the official word. Stop Wooton' Around (talk) 04:49, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- Since I was already almost done with the Plot of Part 3 of MLV, I went ahead and put it up and am tweaking one of the pages, but I can still delete them just as easily. Rachel Maxwell 04:55, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Apostrophe
I saw where some article titles with an apostrophe where changed from (') to (`). - I don't really remember, considering it was a year ago. Naw, I just removed the logo from the wallpaper, didn't even do that great a job. While there may be no "harm" I see no purpose. A long time ago I put the wallpapers from one of the pages on the Whit's End (website) page, I suppose we could put it there. God Bless ~ Nate ~ Talk 04:44, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
- The purpose for having it on the site is long term--eventually we will want to provide wallpapers for every album page. Other than that the only purpose in keeping it would be just in case someone stumble across it and wants to download it. MarvelousMarvin 20:45, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
- I disagree; the purpose of any wiki is to provide accurate, up to date information. Wallpapers for albums would be more likely to appear on a site like the scoop, or the official. Just as a blog is for posting new information in a news format. I think we can link to wallpapers, but I see no need to store the flies here. God Bless ~ Nate ~ Talk 21:01, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
- If that it the real purpose of a wiki, than much of our stuff (like the album art, quotes and notes for the episode pages, links to other site pages on similar subjects) is not really needed at all. No, the purpose of this wiki should be much bigger than that. Sites like the scoop and the official site, often provide random, unattractive, unpredictable, and very unofficial wallpapers. It would be much easier to find wallpaper that were in the gallery section of the album pages than it would be to link to them or hunt all over internet cyberspace for them. Hi! So I was looking at your list of episodes avalible for downloading to your Mp3. I have a question, can you download them to your ipod as well? If so, how? Please answer!

I was reading A License to Drive and saw that Chris Anthony isn't listed in the actor/characters box. I went to make a page on the person she plays, the pregnant lady Eugene and Connie help. What should I call the page? --AriaCurzonFan 12:08, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
- Characters that aren't named are not typically put in the cast section, therefore they don't need a page. (This has been a standard rule for quite sometime, but I'm sure we could adapt it to include characters like that if there is consensus to do so.) Erwin Springer [talk] 00:18, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
Album Covers
Is there a reason albums like 43 don't have the cover on the page? I started fixing them then started worrying it was on purpose -- because they weren't the new covers or something. Rachel Maxwell 17:04, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
- No, I don't know of any reason. I would fix them if I were you. I'm still trying to figure out why they aren't there! AIOCREFan 17:12, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
