History
The Wildest Summer Ever was originally released as a under the title Grins, Grabbers, and Great Getaways in 1988. It was released after the Odyssey USA album, making it the second Adventures in Odyssey album to be released. It was only available on cassette until it was re-released as part of the Gold Audio Series. This release was titled Stormy Weather, borrowing its title from the episode of the same name. The Gold Audio version was released on CD and cassette and contained several bonus features.
As part of a series of album art changes that occurred in the late 2000s and 2010s, the album was retitled again as The Wildest Summer Ever in 2012. The current album includes artwork by Gary Locke.
As each episode is consecutive in order, The Wildest Summer Ever is the first thematic album.
