This was the final album to be released in the Gold Audio Series. It was a way of releasing many of the episodes that still had not been released as extra bonuses in that series. However, after the release of this album there were still several unreleased episodes: 15 full episodes and three split episodes. There is also at least one lost split episode that has been fully produced but never released to the general public.
This is the only mainstream album to have ever featured 17 episodes. Before its release, the largest amount of episodes included in an album had been 14 in Album #7: On Thin Ice.
The Lost Episodes is officially referred to as Album #00, but for most purposes LE is used instead of 00.
