Personality
Wolfgang Gower was portrayed as an adventurer and wilderness guide. He also had a strong sense of loyalty to his family, as he left his beloved Bertha Gower in order to help his brothers fight in an unknown war. Despite having been blinded in battle, he was able to make it back to what would become known as Odyssey.
History
Wolfgang first came to Odyssey (known back then as "Land that stinks like a swamp") as the guide on a wagon train with his beloved Bertha. However, news soon reached him that a war was going on and his brothers were caught up in it. He went back and was blinded by a battle wound. In spite of this, he did come back to Odyssey and met up with his beloved Bertha. His family and the McAlister family became two of the founding families of Odyssey and his legacy can be seen all over Odyssey. A statue of Wolfgang bearing a sword is featured in the episode #693: “The Amazing Loser”.
Family
Wolfgang's beloved, and later his wife, is Bertha Gower. He also mentions that he has brothers back East. He is the patriarch of Odyssey's Gower family.
