Bertha Gower is the beloved of Wolfgang Gower. She is very loyal to him, choosing to stay with him even after he was blinded by a battle wound. Her story of loyalty is forever remembered in Odyssey as her legacy.
History
Bertha Gower was the love interest of Wolfgang Gower when they came out on a wagon train destined for Colorado. However, when Wolfgang announced he was going to return back east, she swore to wait for him. She then received news that Wolfgang had been blinded and that he would send a family to her to escort her to Colorado. However, she refused and waited for him, preferring his love over traveling to Colorado. She went on to marry him and along with the McAlister family formed one of the founding families of Odyssey.
