Signature

MayI suggest moving Template:Natedude24sig to somtething like User:Natedude24/sig instead. Next in Special:Preferences put {{subst:User:Natedude24/sig}} so it simply substitutes instead of using a template. Templates for signatures are usually discouraged on wikipedia, but I'm not sure here, as we don't lots of policy written up. :) Erwin Springer [talk] 14:10, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Usually you don't want to use templates for your signature, so if you put {{subst:User:Natedude24/sig}} in your signature spot in Special:Preferences, will substitute the page, instead of tanslucing it. Does that make sense? Erwin Springer [talk] 02:07, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

To create a signature do the following:

1. Create ome kind of code that has a link to your user page.
2. Put that code in Special:Preferences next to signature and click "Treat Signature as wikitext"
3. Save in Special:Preferences
4. When you comment on a talk page then, put four tildas (~~~~) after your comment, and your signature will display on the page.

I have a list of of questions or suggestions...

1. What are the requirements for becoming a sysop?
2. If I meet the requirements for becoming a sysop can I become one?
3. I think that the redirects should be deleted. If not, please explain why or why not.

Thanks, for your help. The redirects that I was talking about are for character redirects. For example, Wooton Bassett has a redirect of Wooton, and Wooton Basset.
