Summary

A man known only as "The Chairman" was the mastermind behind the Andromeda / Novacom scheme to take over the world. We only have heard from him once in the episode "Exit", and he is often referenced to by Arthur Dent, Armitage Shanks, Bennett Charles and others in the conspiracy. He appears to have some computer expertise as he programmed the launch site himself. He disappeared after Operation: Think Tank was thwarted, commenting only that "It's over... for now," and has not been heard from since.

He finally appears at the beginning of Afternoon, having participated in kidnapping Jason Whittaker and asking him who his Pentagon contact is.

In Final Minutes, the Chairman is revealed to be a high level official in the Pentagon who most likely had the launch codes for the submarine fleet that Jason also had the codes for. However, his true identity still remains unknown.

• The AIO team once thought of making Margaret Faye the Chairman but the idea was scrapped.
