Several episodes of Adventures in Odyssey have been remade, re-aired, or recreated for several reasons.
Family Portraits
In the 1988 Season, several episodes of the Family Portraits pilot series were re-aired as Odyssey episodes.
1#FP05: “You're Not Going to Believe This” was not re-airred "as is". Instead it was rewritten with Adventure in Odyssey characters to create #44: “It Sure Seems Like It to Me”.
2Although #FP09: “A Different Kind of Peer Pressure” was not re-airred, certain elements of the episode were later used #348: “With a Little Help from My Friends”.
Shows with Officer Harley
After Officer David Harley was removed from Odyssey, most of his episodes were re-recorded or edited to removed him.
Notes
- The episodes #115: “An Act of Mercy”, #116: “Isaac the Benevolent”, #117: “The Trouble with Girls”, #118: “What Happened to the Silver Streak?”, #119: “Better Late than Never”, #120: “Pranks for the Memories”, and #121: “Missing Person”, were made around the time that the Odyssey videos came out, when the team had a shortage of scripts, so they re-recorded Harley shows.
- Certain elements of #24: “Gotcha!” were incorporated into #120: “Pranks for the Memories”. Scenes from #24: “Gotcha!” were also incorporated as flashbacks in #266: “It Began with a Rabbit's Foot” to explain how the Bible Room was created.
