Personality

Murray Savage was one of three men Alvin York got to know during World War I, the others being Robert Kosinsky and Harry Parsons Savage. Of the four he was probably the most cautious. He was apparently good at estimating distance as during one battle he could measure with the naked eye roughly where motor shells were falling.

History

Murray Savage accompanied Alvin York to flank several machine gun positions. However, after coming across several German officers they were attacked by machine gun fire. Murray and his squad were killed by the ensuing fire.
