History

Moes was a runaway slave during the ending days of the Civil War. He and his friend Hunk were hiding in a shack when Jimmy Barclay happened upon it. Hunk initially attacked Jimmy while Moes was a bit more calm. When Confederate soldiers arrived outside, Jimmy ordered the two to hide. Jimmy went outside and distracted the Confederates long enough for Union forces to arrive and force the Confederates to leave.
