History

Eliab was one of three of Jesse's sons to go to war against the Philistines. Like the rest of King Saul's army, he was afraid of Goliath. His brother King David would go on to kill Goliath.

Family

Eliab was the oldest of Jesse's eight sons which also included Abinadab, Shammah and King David.
