Notes

  • This episode was originally paired with #438a: “The Lyin' Tale”, but was dropped from distribution and all subsequent airings because the team felt the scene where David threw Fluffyface into Trickle Lake was too violent.
    • However, Tom Riley walks up a couple seconds after David leaves Trickle Lake and saves Fluffyface. He is returned to Mandy at the end of the episode.
  • The title and basic premise of this episode are taken from the classic Edgar Allen Poe story The Tell-Tale Heart, where the main character's guilt-driven illusions prompt him to confess his crime.
