So, is it a goof that it has Mandy's maiden last name? Because when Mandy would have gotten married to Trent, that switches her name to Mandy DeWhite; therefore, her child should be Melanie DeWhite. Stop Wooton' Around (talk) 21:50, 12 December 2013 (MST)

This was explained a few years ago by Shadowpaw on the ToO, though I've forgotten in which topic (something to do with a similar issue when Shadowpaw was putting together characters on the Soda Fountain). Melanie was a character who (apparently, I don't know, never having heard Live at the 25) was in Connie's imagination, and at that point in the show's canon, Connie would not have imagined that Trent was Mandy's husband, and therefore Melanie does not have his last name. Additionally, if she is in Connie's imagination (or whatever), she isn't an existing character, and therefore cannot be Trent and Mandy's actual daughter (yet). (Besides, for all we know, Mandy could keep her maiden name after marriage.) TigerShadow (talk) 20:36, 13 December 2013 (MST)
