History

Nathan owned many slaves and searched for them after they would escape. He burned the rectory and most of a church in 1850 while trying to smoke out his slave. Only the church tower remained, and the tunnels underneath. Both tunnels now lead to the woods, as the church was now gone. The tunnel to the church was covered with dirt until it was finally found and unearthed by Jack Allen and Carl Ross. This tunnel was collapsed soon after by Blackgaard in “The Final Conflict”.
