History

Moses appears in Adventures in Odyssey through various Imagination Station adventures, Kids' Radio, and BTV reenactments. He was born during the massacre of the firstborn upon the Hebrews as ordered by Pharaoh. His mother put him in a basket and let him flow down the Nile River, where he was picked up by Pharaoh's daughter. After this he was raised in Pharaoh's house until he killed an Egyptian slave driver and fled to the land of Midian. There he became a Shepherd and married a Shepherdess named Zipporah.

After forty years in exile, God called him back to Egypt where he met with his brother Aaron and with his help made several demands for Pharaoh to free the Hebrews. Each time Pharaoh refused, God unleashed a steadily worse plague upon Egypt. Finally after Pharaoh's son died, did he let the Hebrews go free. Moses then lead the Hebrews into the wilderness for forty years. Before Israel entered the promised land, Moses appointed Joshua as his successor and died after laying eyes on the Canaan.

Family

Moses had an older brother Aaron and older sister Miriam. He married the Midianite shepherdess Zipporah and had two sons with her.
