History
She is a close neighbor of Whit. Currently she is the only living descendent of the McAlister family mentioned in the series to date. While she only had a brief appearance in 631: A Capsule Comes to Town she was instrumental in the The Forgotten Deed by securing the future of Whit's End when she helped Whit and Jack Allen find the deed to McAlister Park which showed that unless the city of Odyssey honored God with the land they would loose the park to the McAlister family. Ultimately the city council decided to session the land back to the McAlister family and in turn Eleanor sold the land to the Universal Press Foundation for one dollar.
Family
She is the last known living McAlister (however, it can be assumed that she is the mother of Mrs. DeWhite and the grandmother to Trent and Jared, as Trent mentions that Abel McAlister was his maternal great-great grandfather).
