Description

Ed Washington is voiced by Mark Christopher Lawrence, first debuting at #505: “The Toy Man”. He used to own his own toy company, but had to sell out to a bigger company. Even though he moved up in that company, he was dissatisfied and quit to begin managing the Whit's End Connellsville. He is also an elder at his church. Ed is at least 41 years old according to The Toy Man.

Family

Ed is married to Elaine Washington and has three kids. His oldest, Antoine, is in college and we have never heard him. His two youngest kids, Marvin and Tamika, are Odyssey regulars. His nephew, Xavier Washington, the son of his younger brother, lived with them for awhile, but now he's gone and the Washingtons have taken in a young abused girl named Kelly.

Personality

He is playful and energetic, sometimes even more so than his three children and his adopted daughter. This personality has also helped him since he became the manager at Whit's End Connellsville. Although Ed is a wise husband and father, he doesn’t hesitate to crawl on the floor to play with his kids. As seen in #552: “Sunday Morning Scramble”, Ed is a bad hair cutter. When he was a child, his father gave him a very traumatic haircut involving snowflakes.
