I like the random quote generator, too. In fact, I often reload the Main Page to see what will be displayed. But if we want to replace it with the current poll, I'm okay with that, too. I'm guessing that we would create a custom div tag in MediaWiki:Common.js and then create a js gadget that fill the tag if you turned it on, or display nothing otherwise. Erwin Springer [talk] 21:36, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

i just did it with some simply css, but it appears that when you use the same poll on a different page it counts it as a different poll in the db, meaning the votes won't get added together, so it might now work well Reddo 22:42, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

Maybe you can try putting the <noinclude></noinclude> tags around the stuff you don't want to add to the Main Page on the Polls page, then use the entire Poll page as a template on the Main Page. More Poll Ideas

Complements of your email to Odysseynerds, Luke and I have been brainstorming a little. What is your favorite Adventures in Odyssey video, that could be a poll. You could even like, put two of the most popular videos and just choose between those. Luke's idea was to do favorite Odyssey kid, Jimmy, Matthew, Mandy, Emily, or Jared. Another one I thought of was what if you did a poll where we choose between the most likely theory of Alex and Cal's about who Arem is? The options could be Mare, Scarem, Jarem, Ared, and Butterfly.
