Jenny Whittaker, less commonly known by her maiden name of Guinevere Morrow, is the deceased wife of Whit, who died about a month before the creation of Whit's End due to complications from an untreated strep infection which led to a fatal case of chronic glomerulonephritis. Jenny, who has been described by Tom Riley as having "fiery red hair and hazel eyes", buried herself in volunteer work after the death of her son, Jerry Whittaker, in the Vietnam War, and was responsible for leading a group of Odyssey citizens to save the Fillmore Recreation center from demolition. She worked hard on the project, ignoring her own health and case of strep throat, which eventually settled in her kidneys and deteriorated them, causing her to collapse during a city council meeting to determine the fate of the building. She died soon afterwards on August 17, 1984 (at a presently unknown age).

Whit, who viewed the Fillmore center as a broken-down building that needed to be demolished and blamed the citizens of Odyssey for her death, grieved bitterly for about a month, until he met a young girl, who told him how much she cared for the old building and hated to see it torn down. When Whit learned the little girl's name, Jenny, he felt that the encounter was a sign from God and purchased the building on behalf of the Universal Press Foundation. Whit renovated it, making it into what is presently Whit's End.

She died nine years before the start of the episode The New Kid in Town. (This information could be somewhat faulty though, as it conflicts with the date given in Behind the Locked Door. If the information came from Family Portraits, it is probably not correct since the Family Portraits series is technically not part of the AIO canon.)

While trapped in the basement of the Electric Palace, Bart, Whit, and Bernard tell Marvin about how they met and proposed to their wives-from rock piles to funerals, from pork rinds to chicken costumes, these stories are (not) the most romantic things you'll hear all year, but may be the funniest.
