Plot
Continued from part 1... Jenny meets Whit outside the library one evening and Whit immediately begins asking her why she wasn't honest with Jack. Jenny starts crying and Whit hugs her. Unfortunately, Jack sees her and goes to Whit's house later that night to see what was happening. Whit dodges saying anything and tells Jack to go see Jenny. Jenny finally tells Jack the truth that she doesn't love him the way he loves her. Jack surmises there must be someone else in her life...and it must be Whit. Jack withdraws into himself, missing classes and not going to work. He won't talk to Whit or Jenny. The only one he talks to is his friend Emily through letters. While Whit and Jenny wonder if they can really be right for each other if it's causing all this pain, Emily shows up at Jack's door and counsels him that he needs to stop feeling sorry for himself and that if Whit and Jenny are right for each other, then he shouldn't get in the way. Whit finally finds Jack at the auction house where he works and Jack relays what Jenny says and tells Whit that whatever the future has in store for Whit and Jenny...well...that's their business. Just before Whit goes, Jack gives him something for Jenny...a first edition of The Allegory of Love by C. S. Lewis.

In #219: “Treasures of the Heart”, it's revealed that a young Jimmy Barclay did the same to one of his own father's favorite childhood books.
- During the closing wrap of this episode when Chris tells listeners to write in, she says “My address is...” rather than “Our address is....”
