• Several episodes mention Richland (including #299: “The Truth About Zachary”, #578: “All-Star Witness”) which may refer to the city in Washington.
• Historically, Odyssey cannot be located in Washington. In #92: “The Ill-Gotten Deed”, Whit reads a book, with the first line explaining that Odyssey was founded in the early 1800's. Washington was not a state during this time. Odyssey cannot be located in Washington, according to history's standards.
• If traveling by train, it is a day's journey from Chicago to Odyssey. (#142: “Train Ride”) If this is true, then it would be awfully difficult to take a train ride from Washington to Chicago in a day's time.
