Theories, please.
I don't think so, because there is an episode in 2021 with Jules in it.
Unless the episode takes place outside of Odyssey, anyway.
could be, but is has the following characters
Role Actor Dispatch Unknown Don Polehaus Phil Proctor John Whittaker Andre Stojka Eugene Meltsner Will Ryan Connie Kendall |Katie Leigh Jules Kendall |Shona Rodman Buck Oliver |Robby Bruce Jillian Marshall Monica |Padilla Unknown |Patty McCormack
I don't know if all of these characters would be out of odyssey.
At first I thought the crew was planning on phasing Shona out of the show slowly, but now I'm not sure that's so likely. She's won what, four Avery Awards? Odyssey doesn't usually ditch their most popular crew members. Of course, California Dreams could still be a send-off a la End of an Era, but I think it's more likely that Jules stays in Odyssey. If Jules does leave, then Auto Response will likely featuring her calling Connie/Buck to check up on how things are going in Odyssey.
On a side note (this can be moved to a different discussion topic if you guys want), do you think any Odyssey episodes will directly OR indirectly address the COVID-19 pandemic? Odyssey has purposely made some episodes correlate with real-world events (The YAK Problem, Parker for President) so I wouldn't say it's THAT unlikely. They literally just put out an album called "Hope in Trying Times".
In an Album 70 (I think 70) episode, Wilson Knox catches a virus “that’s been going around” and leads his bible study virtually just in case he would spread it.
I know that in the podcast and club documentary they mentioned that a few episodes will indirectly reference the pandemic but it is not an actual plot point of any new episodes (as far as I know).
Also, I can see California Dreams being similar to Connie, Parts 1-2 in which she went to California and then came back. I don't forsee Jules becoming a Christian in these episodes, but I can see her going back to California and then realizing how much she actually appreciates the town of Odyssey (something like that). Also, based on the episode descriptions, it seems that For a Song and California Dreams are very connected.
I recently said this in a podcast.
That was my theory as well!!
I'm exited to see what Kathy Buchanan has to write!
Yeah. That seems like a good conclusion. I agree. It is very similar to those old episodes.
any final theories before tomorrow?
That's my blog.
