Template talk:Verse hover

Is there any reason we need to display the the verse number in front of the text (I can't find one)? The way this template works is you have a reference example: Genesis 1:1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Then you hover over it and get the text. Why should the verse number be displayed before the verse in the hover text? This template can not display multiple verses, just one. With it only being able to display one verse the number seems unnecessarily redundant. If nobody knows of a reason that it is needed, I'll rewrite this template and remove the verse number in the hover text. (There is a much simpler syntax than the four nested replace functions.)
