Family Status
The McKay family was always trying to make ends meet, as Carson has repeatedly squandered the family's money and served time in jail and running from creditors. Wooton Bassett often served as a father figure for Grady, and Grady even claims that Wooton is his father in one episode. Kristi is hard-working, but struggles to find jobs and keep enough income to support the family.
