Max Darby is a 10 year old kid who used to be a swindler in Kidsboro. He sold wood to the other kids to build clubhouses, but when the tarp idea was invented, he lost his job.
Later he started his own town across the creek named Bettertown.
Max is one of the main "villains" in the Kidsboro book series.
