Description

James Wakefield is the wheelchair-bound, manipulative uncle of Kenneth Anderson. He was the black sheep of the Wakefield family, and was last-in-line to inherit the fortune, after his sister Katherine, and her husband and son. After hearing about the Tate House fire, he took advantage of the opportunity. He put the incapacitated Steven Anderson into private care at Tate Lodge, adopted Kenneth Anderson (changing his name to Kent Wakefield), and destroyed as many records relevant to their case as he could. With them out of the way, he was able to secure the family fortune. Later, he pretended that he was only Kent's adopted uncle, rather than a blood relative.

When Kent Wakefield traveled to Odyssey, James Wakefield came from his estate in Pittsburgh and attempted to convince Whit that his nephew was insane. When it became evident that his scheme would be unraveled, he reluctantly considered having his nephew murdered. However, before he could decide on or do anything, Whit arrived, along with the police, who arrested him.
