History
Gregory Kelley (Greg) was a teenage thief in Chicago hired by Dr. Regis Blackgaard to steal car stereos and other electronic equipment. In Waylaid in the Windy City, Part 1 he inadvertently stole a top-secret government laptop from Blackgaard's henchman Pinky and then crossed paths with Whit and Connie, who were visiting Chicago, in a hotel van, where the driver accidentally swapped Whit's laptop with the stolen computer (since both laptops look identical). When Greg returned to Dr. Blackgaard with what he believed was the stolen laptop, Blackgaard was furious to learn that it was the wrong machine and initially thought that Kelley was trying to double-cross him, but eventually believed that he made an honest mistake. However, it was subtly suggested that Blackgaard ordered Pinky to kill Greg so as to not leave any loose ends. He assured Greg, who was afraid of getting caught, that "the police will never find him," then told Pinky to "take care of him".
Richard Maxwell told Whit in Waylaid in the Windy City, Part 2 that Greg Kelley was an acquaintance of his and the one who introduced him to Dr. Blackgaard.
