History

An attorney, he was John Whittaker's regular legal counsel, and continued to serve in this capacity after Jason Whittaker took over managing Whit's End. Jason described him as "the best [lawyer] in town".

When Rodney Rathbone and Bart Rathbone sued Jason Whittaker and Whit's End for damages sustained from falling through a skylight, Mr. Cooper believed they had a solid case and recommended settlement out of court. In spite of this, he was very accommodating of his clients' wishes, defending the case and allowing Jack Allen to deliver the closing statement in his stead.
