Jewish is a Race not a Religion, Judaism I would agree for the Rabbi Mention but Jesus was not a follower of a religion. ~ OdysseyFan (talk) 13:16, 11 November 2018 (MST)
- Actually, you had to be Jewish (not just a follower of Judiasm) to become a Rabbi until 2013, and the episode in which the Rabbi appeared aired in 1997. Cartoon Nostalgia 13:34, 11 November 2018 (MST)
- Biblically speaking Jesus was definitely raised in the Jewish faith. He repeatedly referred to the Jewish scriptures (even went so far as to say he had not come to abolish the law), he did not largely circulate among Gentiles (at least isn't recorded as having done so) and was allowed into the temple (something non-Jews weren't permitted to do). By all definitions of the time, Jesus was Jewish. That being said, so were all of his disciples - the term Christian wasn't used until some time later, though early enough that it's recorded in Acts. I don't have a problem with having this category but if we're going to include Biblical Jews shouldn't at least all of the Old Testament Jewish figures appear?
