Category talk:Characters
Odyssey scoop
The link for Characters on The Odyssey Scoop in the first section is a broken link. --Frederick
Another sub-category that would be good to fit in is Secondary Characters.
Example: "Gifts for Madge & Guy. Madge and Guy are viable characters, however they are within a story told by a main character. Another way of looking at it would be characters that have no ability to interact with our main characters.
Other examples would be like George Washington, Joseph from the Bible, etc. Thoughts?
It would be good to make that category now before the list get to huge. Jrcplanet 20:02, 15 July 2007 (PDT)
- The AIOHQ describes these characters as follows: A * beside a name means that character was from a "story within a story" on a certain episode. Either they were a fictional part of an inner story (like Madge from Gifts for Madge and Guy) or they were a historical character like George Washington. Basically, they are people that could not interact with the main characters on a normal level. So I suggest either "Fictional Characters" as in fictional to the AIO universe...or something like "Non-Player Characters". But "Secondary Characters" suggests a character that has appeared in the background or as filler, like a random kid that orders an ice cream that we never hear from ever again. blipadouzi 17:49, 16 July 2007 (PDT)
- Good point on the fictional characters. When I start on Odyssey USA in the next two weeks I will start that category then. Thanks! Jrcplanet 18:07, 16 July 2007 (PDT)
Do we want to integrate <a href "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Adventures_in_Odyssey_characters>this wiki list of characters</a> into this present list? And who would like that daunting task? XD 208.39.156.250 16:43, 17 September 2007 (PDT)
- As this page is a "Category" page, it is an auto-populated list, simply creating the character pages and adding the character category will add them to this list. Though some of the general information from the Wikipedia page can be included in the individual character pages, the list itself is not really necessary. blipadouzi 16:53, 17 September 2007 (PDT)
Child characters
I think that perhaps we should either create a sub-category for child characters, or perhaps create a whole seperate category. Many of them don't even have their own pages. Thoughts? Paixpirate 15:37, 8 November 2007 (PST)
- The main reason most characters, child or otherwise, haven't been created is simply a matter of time and planning. As for your idea of a child character category...sounds good. blipadouzi 16:02, 8 November 2007 (PST)
