Shorts (colloquially known as shorties [plural of shorty]) are scenes added to Adventures in Odyssey episodes to fill broadcast time. Most of the shorts were created in either 1999 or 2000, and are mostly joined with episodes first during that time, although they are sometimes joined with others. The shorts do not appear in the release version of the episodes, but nine of them are included in the bonus features of Album #13: It All Started When....
Fifteen shorts have been made, but only twelve of them are still aired. When included in normal episodes, the short is at the end (except for #182: “The Scales of Justice”, where the short appears in the middle). When included in split episodes, the short is between the two episodes (except for #444: “The Bad Guy” & “Bethany's Flood”, where the short appears at the end).
The music composers, directors, and sound designers for the shorts are largely unknown (although some of the music may be composed by Steve Wick). All of them (except for #1: “Super Sleuth - Your Skin”) were produced by Duane Harms.
