“House Guest” is the second Focus on the Family pilot episode. It was written by Steve Harris, and originally aired on November 23, 1985.

Summary

A father lives at his adult daughter's house for a while.

Plot

Norman Harper just got out of the hospital after surgery! However, all he wants to do is go home. Instead, he is at his adult daughter's house and forced to use a diet that he does not like. He is forced to give up coffee and gravy, and even eat broccoli casserole. In addition, his daughter, Jennifer Walters is being overprotective. Soon, he starts recovering and can walk a little ways without getting exhausted. Then, she and him have a good talk and start forgiving each other for their mistakes.
